Virden today is the hub of the cattle, agriculture and oil industries. The community prides itself on beautiful surroundings and cherishes its local history.

Virden Historical Tours gives you a good background of the town and the story before the coming of the first Canadians. We go back as far as the Great Inland Sea... and the sea monsters that went with it.

Tours deal with the stern-wheelers on the Assiniboine River and famous Fort La Bosse. The tour usually takes a little more than two hours of walking. For a young frontier town, Virden has a wealth of stories to be told.

A family friendly and affordable outing. The guide is theatrical and knowledgeable. The adventure starts at the CPR Historic Centre Station, a story in itself.

Access to the Aud Theatre and Costume Closet can be arranged with an expected donation to each organisation.
